In the Master Key Experience, the focus is on the Hero’s Journey.  The Hero’s Journey was coined by academic Joseph Campbell in 1949. It refers to a Hero who ventures out to get what the Hero needs, and faces a crisis, wins a victory, and then comes home changed or transformed.

The Master Key Experience is a process of personal transformation which is like the Hero’s Journey. We are born into a set of rules, beliefs, and programming and have developed our own programming, blueprints and our defense systems as we grew, and now through The Master Key Experience we are choosing to break free from these conventions (transcend them) to discover our authentic selves and our bliss. In this process, we are returning to our soul.

There are 12 stages to the Hero’s Journey, and I am going to attempt to connect them with the Master Key Experience. This week will be the first six stages and next week will be the last six stages.

  1. Ordinary World

This is where we all started before the Master Key Experience. We were in our status quo and our comfort zone and existing patterns.

  1. Call to Adventure

Each one of us were introduced to this journey in different ways. In order to get into the program, we had to undertake various challenges and develop new habits. This threw the Ordinary World off balance, and we were thrown into the unknown. We all had to face our fear of change.

  1. Refusal of The Call

Because of our fear of the unknown, many of us refuse the call to adventure. It is too difficult, too daunting, and too uncomfortable. Some of us sabotage our journey in many ways. We may procrastinate, make excuses, put important requirements aside, or we may distract ourselves with social media and other people’s lives. We may get lured back to the status quo of the Ordinary World. But for the Hero there is a desire to conquer this internal conflict that creates disharmony. The feeling of discord leads to action and ultimately, some resolution like committing to the Master Key Experience.

  1. Meeting the Mentor

The Hero meets a mentor to gain confidence, insight, advice, training, or magical gifts to overcome the initial fears and face the threshold of the adventure. The mentor will hold the vision of who we could become. The staff at MKMMA are acting as mentors. They all have experienced the Hero’s Journey and offer wise advice, practical training and accountability. The other mentor we are encouraged to connect with is our inner guide, the Higher Self within.

  1. Crossing the Threshold

Crossing the Threshold signifies that the Hero has finally committed to cross into the unknown world. In MKMMA we were given daily requirements that we had to commit to. We created a Definite Major Purpose.  We learned about Laws of the Universe. This took us from the Ordinary World into the Special World. The Crossing may require more than accepting one’s fears, it may require a swift kick in the rear from a Mentor.  This first breakthrough is a feat within itself as we were committing to this Hero’s Journey and re-discovering our authentic selves.

  1. Tests, Allies, Enemies

Having crossed the Threshold, the Hero faces tests, encounters Mastermind allies, confronts old patterns, and learns the rules of the Special World. Finally, out of our comfort zone, this is the stage where our skills and/or powers are tested and every obstacle that we face help us gain a deeper insight into our character and ultimately identify with our true authentic selves even more. This is the stage where we encounter people who will unconsciously attempt to sabotage us as they have never completed this journey themselves. These dream-stoppers are often cleverly masked as friends and family who appear to have positive intentions but hinder our development, nonetheless. Our ability to identify obstructions on our path and align with Mastermind supporters along our adventure is critical to our mission’s success.

The Master Key Experience  has been formed for people to learn not only how to identify their Dharma or purpose, but also to find, follow and manifest their bliss. Basically, the Hero’s Journey.
