First of all, you have to define success for yourself. Where do you want success? What aspect of your life? Once you have a goal in mind, then apply the success habits that will take you to your success.

This will be a series as there are many success habits that can be applied. You see we already have habits and many of them are not really good habits. The way it works is that the bad habit needs to be replaced by a good habit.

So, let’s address discipline as a success habit. I have studied successful entrepreneurs and they all had certain characteristics in common.

For example, I noticed they were comfortable with discipline and able to develop habits such as utilizing their unique ability and delegating the rest, continuous learning, regular goal setting with set outcomes, focus, organization, planning, measuring results, consistency, team building, thinking win-win, keeping healthy and in balance, just to name a few of their success practices.

Discipline was a hard one for me to understand at first, because my childhood associations with the word were hard to overcome. But I’ve learned that the purpose of discipline is quite simple: it gives us the necessary structure to bring about changes that we desire.

Adopting new habits is easier with discipline. Even more, when you self-design a program, it is all the more valuable because you are the architect. You can agree to set up a new habit and with discipline, it is now non-negotiable.

The discipline of quieting the mind may be one of the most impactful structures you adopt. This behavior can re-shape your life and your goals to lead you to your version of success.

One program I have been involved with that assists in creating structure and eliciting new habits is The Master Key Experience. Also using the Mastermind principle for accountability, I have been successful with the discipline of supporting my current goals.

So, it really comes down to replacing old habits that aren’t working with new ones that are going to take you where you want to go.

If you can manage to turn discipline into a regular habit, you are more likely to achieve the success you are looking for. If you need help with this, be sure to reach out.

To your success.
