The Master Key Journey continues with so many new tools. This week one of the focuses was gratitude.

Gratitude is a cause not an effect. Haanel refers to that in Lesson 13.

  1. In the first place, we must put our knowledge into practice. Nothing can be accomplished in any other way. The athlete may read books and lessons on physical training all his life, but unless he begins to give out strength by actual work, he will never receive any strength; he will eventually get exactly what he gives; but he will have to give it first. It is exactly the same with us; we will get exactly what we give, but we shall have to give it first. It will then return to us many fold, and the giving is simply a mental process, because thoughts are causes and conditions are effects; therefore, in giving thoughts of courage, inspiration, health or help of any kind we are setting causes in motion which will bring about their effect.

Also, another mentor of mine always said that gratitude is the fastest path to the divine. It hooks you up to your Source.  Another mentor says it is the place of no mind, meaning the place of stillness. Gratitude moments attract other gratitude moments.

A reminder of the blessings of this season. Count your blessings and feel the gratitude.

“If you have food in your fridge, clothes on your back, a roof over your head and a place to sleep you are richer than 75% of the world.

If you have money in the bank, your wallet, and some spare change you are among the top 8% of the world’s wealthy.

If you woke up this morning with more health than illness you are more blessed than the million people who will not survive this week.

If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the agony of imprisonment or torture, or the horrible pangs of starvation you are luckier than 500 million people alive and suffering.

If you can read this message you are more fortunate than 3 billion people in the world who cannot read it at all.”

We are so blessed here in North America. I enjoy reflecting on the deeper meaning of Christmas and the Solstice.  It is a wonderful time to renew hope and to reaffirm the aspiration of “peace on earth and goodwill towards all”.

Those sentiments can have meaning for everyone, and during this Season, we can reflect on how we can mindfully be the change we want to see in the world.

Back to same paragraph above, Haanel says, “It is exactly the same with us; we will get exactly what we give, but we shall have to give it first “.  So, let’s share the attitude of gratitude with others. The law of attraction will multiply our thoughts and we will indeed create the world we desire.

Happy Holidays,

  • Yes it’s incredible what happens after you have gratitude. Your perspective changes and your life gets better. All successful people talk about the need for gratitude. Thanks for sharing!

  • Thank you, Charlene. This is a beautiful reminder of the abundance we already enjoy. When we consider most of the daily ‘irritants’ we might have complained about are the result of the abundance we have at our fingertips, it’s high time to get in tune with gratitude!

  • Charlene, thank you for sharing those various perspectives on life situations and circumstances. It is so true what we focus on makes whole difference; we have more than what we need and out of this perspective, our thoughts and mind will lead to Gratitude in any situation and circumstances in our life. Blessings to you!
